birth and childhood of swami vivekananda

Bhuvneshwari Devi's first two children - a son and a daughter - went to the temple at an early age.  Later they had three daughters.  Apart from Harmohini and Swarnamayee, the third daughter left the world at an early age.  Bhubaneswar Devi's mother's heart was broken.  He prayed to Vireshwar Shiva in Varanasi.  Later, on Monday, January 12, 1863, Bhuvneshwari gave birth to a baby boy.  According to the Bengali calendar, it was the day of Makar Sankranti.  It was like the day of Makar Sankranti to signal the arrival of the radiant sun of knowledge that appeared on the land of India!  Moreover, at Dakshineswar, just a few miles north of Kolkata, a visionary incarnation was waiting for the arrival of a male child.

Bhuvneshwari Devi named her son Vireshwar.  Everyone in the house affectionately called him Bill.  Later it was also named as Narendranath or Naren.  Naren began to grow up.  He was an amazingly naughty boy.  His mother's nostrils used to come while he was in custody.  Bhubaneswar Devi came up with an innovative solution when the temptation to eat, fear of punishment sometimes did not reduce Naren's riot.  They used to pour cold water on Naren's head and shout 'Shiva Shiva' in his ears.  Then Naren would calm down.  When Bhuvaneshwari Devi used to get tired of his riots and say, “I had prayed to Shiva for a son and he sent one of his ghosts!

Naren had two older sisters.  At times, he even let them go.  Naren had friends like a monkey, a goat, a peacock, a dove and two or three guinea pigs.  He also had a cow in his house.  On festive days, Naren lovingly helped his sisters to decorate their beloved cows.  I used to greet her by smelling the scent on her forehead.  He would pat the cow with his little hand and talk to her in sweet words.

Naren passed on his education to his mother.  It was the passion of his parents to give their child a very good education.  Sitting on his mother's lap, Naren listened to the stories of gods and goddesses, the stories of saints in India as well as the ancestors of his family.  He heard about Durga Prasad who became a hermit.  Heard stories from Ramayana Mahabharata.  These epics were read daily in Datta's house.  An elderly woman or Bhuvaneshwari Devi herself was reading in the afternoon.  Everyone else in the house was gathering for work.  In the midst of all this, little Naren was quietly listening to things.  The events in the epic may be unfolding before his eyes.  He also heard about Bhagwat from his mother and grandmother.  Beggars used to come in front of Naren's house singing bhajans on the streets.  He was fascinated by the sweet songs of these people.  Even Bhuvneshwari Devi did not restrain his inquisitive nature.  Because he knew in his heart that this is what introduces the national culture.

He was greatly influenced by the story of Ramayana and especially Hanuman.  So much so that he had a strong desire to meet Hanumana!  He asked a Ramakathakara, “Can I meet Hanumana?  "Because Ramakathakar had said that 'Hanuman lives in a banana orchard.' He replied to innocent Naren, 'Yes, why not? Go and see.' According to this, Narain really went and sat in the banana orchard for a long time. But he did not meet Hanuman.  So he became very stubborn. Finally, to get his understanding, the mother said at home, "Oh, Hanuman must have had to go for such an important work of Shri Ram! So you didn't meet him." Hearing this, Narain's grief eased a bit.

He was very fond of Lord Shiva and had a lot of fascination with Lord Shiva. He had placed the idols of Rama and Sita in his room on the terrace.  , The god of asceticism! No one knew that much, but at a very young age, Naren had a hobby of meditating.  There was something wonderful about it.  For a long time he seemed to be sitting so engrossed.  He had to be moved and brought to his senses.  The children around him used to join his meditation game.

Once it was evening time.  The moon was shining in the sky.  All the children were sitting in the temple with their eyes closed.  One boy noticed a large snake crawling on the floor of the room.  He screamed in panic.  Then the rest of the children got scared when they saw the snake.  But Naren was so absorbed in meditation that he did not move even for a moment.  The boys shouted at Naren.  But to no avail.  The children ran and called his parents.  Evanna Naga was spread out.  Everyone was stunned.  After a while, the snake slipped away.  After hearing all this, Naren said quietly, "I don't know anything about snakes.  I was very happy with something.

At the age of six, Naren started going to school.  The first day of school was very important to him.On his way to school, Naren wore a new dhoti.  The seat was wrapped around the side.  Boru's pen was hanging with a long rope tied around his waist.  Naren, who was going on bail like this, was feeling very, very cool about himself!  I started going to school.

But when the school was called, all kinds of children were there.  Within a few days, Naren collected a lot of pictures, strange words, swear words.  After hearing these words from Naren's mouth, his parents decided that it would be better not to send him to school now.  So a private teacher was appointed to teach Naren and all the other siblings in the house, as well as the children of his father's friends.  However, when the education started, I started to notice the brilliance of Naren's intellect, the uniqueness of his intellect and his brilliance.  While the other children were struggling to read the alphabet, Naren began to read and write.  His memory was also intense.

Naren was still learning from his mother.  His mother taught him a book called 'First Book of English'.  No matter how much misery and crisis befalls the world, moral values are never to be set aside;  He also learned this important lesson from his mother.  His mother had told him, “Be holy for life;  Respect your own dignity and never let the dignity of others be harmed.  Be calm and gentle by nature but harden your heart when needed.

From an early age, Naren had a sense of courage, of rushing to the aid of others.  It happened when he was six years old.  He went to Charhak Jatra with his relatives to see Shiva Puja.  He bought some Shiva idols at the fair.  In the evening, the two boys returned home.  Reached a little far from the crowd.  Suddenly a buggy sped by.  The noise was heard.  For a long time, Naren felt that his brother was behind him.  He looked back and he shuddered.  His younger brother was standing in the street, confused, with a buggy in front of him.  Immediately Naren grabbed the idol in his left arm and ran and pulled him with his right hand, saving him from falling under the horse's hooves.  It all happened so fast that the people around were staring in amazement.  Then some patted Naren on the back, blessing him.  When he returned home, Naren's mother found out.  Tears of pride and joy welled up in her eyes.  She said, "My baby, always act like a man!"

Naren was also passing on knowledge particles from other elderly relatives in the household.  His father also played a key role in Naren's education.  "Naren should also study music because art like music is a source of pure happiness," he said.  Later, Naren Dhrupad became a great singer.  Everyone was mesmerized by the hymns sung by his sweet throat.  It was this art of singing that would lead him to meet his beloved Guru - Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa.

Vishwanathbabu's method of turning his children around was characteristic.  He was of the view that our children should have both self-respect and humility.  If a boy behaved like a madman, he would tell the boy's friends about his pearls instead of getting angry.  So the friend laughed that the expected improvement was in the behavior as the four of them were automatically beautified.  Such was the case with Naren.  One day Naren spoke very rudely to his mother.  On learning this, Vishwanath Babu wrote on the door of the room where Naren used to meet his friends, 'He said some words.  As soon as he entered the room, every friend read this sentence and the result was that it happened immediately.  Naren repented of his behavior and his mother became Naren Babu.

In 1871, Naren was eight years old.  He was then named in the school of Pandit Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar.  High Jump - He excelled in long jump, running, boxing and cricket.  He was also in the forefront of settling quarrels between friends.  He was always number one in both study and sports.  Indomitable enthusiasm, fiery energy, movement were all symptoms in Naren.  With all this, in his mind, however, there used to be a strange longing, love for the saints.

It is true that there was movement in Naren but there was also immense compassion in his mind.  The affection that was hidden in his heart was evident from an occasion.  Once upon a time, a group of twenty-one children went on a trip to see the fort in Kolkata.  Naren was one of those children.  All the children were smiling, chatting.  But after a while, a boy started complaining about his limb pain.  Everyone started making fun of him for 'playing'.  At last the boy fell behind the group and sat down on the ground.  Naren had actually moved on with the other kids.  But looking at the boy, he was stunned and said, “Oh, he shouldn't be feeling really good.  You all go ahead.  Some of us have to wait for him.  So I stop.  "Naren came back to the boy. Evanna had a fever. He supported her, walked slowly and brought a buggy and took her home.

If anyone gets in trouble, Naren never wants to ignore them and become dumb in his own happiness.  Such qualities in Naren's body were going to make him a strong leader of a team in the future.

The words fear and superstition were not in Naren's cell.  Sometimes he got bored and went to a friend's house.  There was a chaff tree in that friend's yard.  Naren loved the game of hanging from a tree branch with his head down.  One day Naren was hanging out the same way.  The grandfather in the house recognized his voice.  Concerned that the boy would fall and ..., the grandfather called Naren and told him not to climb the tree.  When Naren asked the reason, he said, "There is a demon living on the tree. He breaks the necks of those who climb the tree." Naren listened to him silently.  When done, Naren said, "What a fool you are! Never believe what someone has said! If what my grandfather had told me was true, wouldn't my neck have been broken by that demon so long ago?"  Naren was really very clear-minded.  This is what Swami Vivekananda used to say in front of a large crowd

Speaking in front of the crowd, he would say the same words, "Don't believe anything you read in a book! Don't rely on what someone is saying! Find out the truth for yourself! That's the realization!"

Sometimes he would stare at the sky while joking.  The smile on his face was wiped away and he became serious.  He used to say, “I will be king, I will do this, I will do that.  The children do not want to unravel his code.  After a while, Naren would smile again and start playing.  Seeing the strangeness of his behavior, his friends affectionately called him 'Pagla Bile'.  His friends used to say: “The bills are very good.  Lots of fun, lots of fun.  But it’s a bit of a cycle.  It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.

Naren used to be assertive even when he was in school.  His geography teacher once said that his answer was wrong.  But Naren was absolutely sure of the answer.  The teacher started beating him with sticks.  Naren, however, did not say why.  The teachers realized their mistake and apologized to Naren.  Upon hearing this, his mother said, “If you are right, then you should act just as firmly.  "This determination will be useful to him in the next life as well.  Once he started a drama group as a joke at home.  All the children of the Dutt family will get together and perform different plays in the house of God Started.

After some experiments, one of his uncles got so annoyed that he removed the 'stage' of the children's play.  Then Naren started a gym in the backyard!  All the children started exercising hard there.  Exercise so hard that one day one of Naren's cousins broke his arm.  Done!  Again his uncle became very angry and he immediately removed all the means of exercise. Over time, Naren became proficient in all the sports like running sticks, wrestling, sailing and swimming.

Once at a fair, he even got a silver butterfly as his first prize in boxing.  Naren's characteristic was to be constantly engaged in some work.  At home he used to show pictures to everyone using a magic lantern.  So I used to go for horse riding.  He was fond of making sports machines and trains.  He had even tried different foods around this time!  He used to make different types of rice porridge.  He used to make the substance Amal Chili.  Naren, however, was very sweet in nature, so he was loved by everyone at home and in the streets.
